Prescription Terminology Quick Reference
FAQ
Can I add prescription lenses to my smart glasses after purchase?
- RayNeo iO: No. If you require vision correction, please submit an accurate prescription following the site instructions before completing your checkout.
- Air & GT Series: Yes. These models include a demo lens template in the box, which you can take to your preferred local optician for custom fitting.
How long will it take to fulfill my prescription order?
Prescription orders for the RayNeo iO generally ship within 3 weeks. Because the prescription elements are custom-built and directly fused with the display optics, production requires additional lead time. For real-time updates, check your order status or contact support at service@rayneo.com.
What details are required to order prescription lenses?
You will need an up-to-date optical prescription and your Pupillary Distance (PD). Prescriptions are generally valid for 1–2 years from the date of issue, depending on regional guidelines and individual vision changes. Please review your prescription document for its exact expiration date.
How do I obtain my Pupillary Distance (PD)?
Your PD measures the distance (in millimeters) between the centers of your pupils to ensure optimal visual focus and viewing comfort. This figure is often included on your prescription sheet. If it is missing, please request it directly from your eye care specialist or optical provider.
Do you accept FSA or HSA payments?
Yes, flexible spending (FSA) and health savings (HSA) cards can be used directly at checkout.
What is your return policy regarding prescription glasses?
If you purchased a complete pair directly through our store and the vision correction is inaccurate, you may initiate a return using our standard return process. If you had lenses customized or fitted through a third-party retailer, please consult our warranty terms regarding coverage limitations.
Can these glasses be worn for everyday use when the display is inactive?
Yes. When the display features are powered off, they serve as standard prescription eyewear.
What happens if my prescription changes in the future?
Because the prescription optics are integrated into the hardware during manufacturing, existing lenses cannot be modified. A new pair must be purchased to accommodate updated prescription requirements.
How is my personal prescription data handled?
Your prescription information is strictly confidential. We protect your privacy and use these details exclusively for manufacturing the lenses for your specific order.
